RECIPE FOR SUCCESS - BLACK ARTS EXPANDS...

Add a pnch here, a press here, a rub and strike, put in a little twist and push, then down and take out - is the perfect recipe for excellence in self defense.

On February 27th and 28th, 1999 Grandmaster Gus Michalik and Sensei Brian Roussel graded two Black Belts and conducted a six hour workshop over the two days at the Comox Military Base on Vancouver Island.

Participants were both children and adults, male and female, military and civilian, no belts and white belts to black belts, ary and navy personal, an RCMP officer, and other club owners.

Experienced martial artists who had been trained in different styles: Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Jiu Jitsu, Karate, and Filipino Combative Arts found the Black Arts a new and welcome adventure.

Grandmaster Michalik offers a wide variety of wokrshop themes:

  1. Basic and Advanced Pressure Points
  2. Locks, Breaks, and Maniplulations
  3. Body Mechanics and One Second Sparring
  4. Self Defence from Front, Rear, and Side Attacks
  5. Beginning and Advanced Weapons Defences
  6. Escape from Grabs and Holds
  7. Basic Hand, Leg and Body Moves

The February workshop was a resounding success. All participants, regardless of experience or age were please with the techniques learned.

Grandmaster Michalik already has other workshops in the planning stage for Edmonton and Victoria. If you wish to have a workshop in your area please contact him at gmichalik@blackartssociety.com.

This WINNING recipe can be YOURS! Book early and avoid disappointment.

Self defence books and a Black Arts instructional CDROM can also be ordered.
